I wanted to do something like this when September ended but I only started blogging late September. So I thought I should start newly when October ends, and I can’t believe October’s ended already.

I’m doing this partly because I want to keep track of the books I’ve read. Since most of them are borrowed and I keep forgetting to add them to my bookshelf on Goodreads.

The other reason is because I’ve read interesting books through blogs that do this too. It’s like a mini review.

In my class we do this thing where, one person brings a book, and we each take turns to read. So I mostly just read anything they bring which may or may not be good.

1. Whole Lotta Trouble

Whole lotta trouble is about three women who were deceived by a man. They converge to teach him a lesson, only for them to find out he was dead the next morning… The mystery in this novel was not it. The reveal of the murderer was hyped but at the end, I was like really?? The good thing about this book is the romance. I loved it! it’s a really nice read. I give it a 3/5

2. The Grim Legacy

I loved this book. I’m not really into fantasy—heck I didn’t even know it was fantasy. I thought it was just a regular highschool story, but it turned out really good.

It’s about a girl who got to work in a library as a page, after writing an assignment for her social studies teacher. The job leads her to find out that magic and magical people really exists. She and her friends enjoy a wonderful experience using magical items in the library.

This book is a must for those who love magical Disney stories (when is Disney ever not magical??). I give it a 4/5.

3. Christmas At The Tycoon’s Command

I’m a huge romance buff. I got really excited when I saw the theme. It was a really interesting read. I love books centered around a particular profession. The two main characters are problematic, they love each other but keep bringing up unnecessary excuses to not be together and I was like: get married already! I won’t say more than that—I tend to reveal spoilers when I talk too much about a book. I give it a 3 and half. ╮(. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)╭

4. The Last Flight Of The Birdman

I didn’t know what this book was about, because the cover was torn when I got it. I only found out it’s is a children’s book after read and looked it up. It only gets interesting at the middle. I can’t exactly say what it’s about. The only children’s books I’ve read are the ones with bright and colourful pictures and this one, was just full of words. I give it a 2/5.

5. The Immaterial Murder Case

I immediately jumped on this book when I saw the cover. I love thrillers/mystery/crime novels. But this one was quite different. It started off with a man narrating the events that happened before the murder. I didn’t get it at first, I was almost at the end of the chapter before I understood. I think this made my friend drop it after the first chapter. Even the second chapter confused me a little as it began from a totally different narrator and it took me a few pages again, to realize.( The two narrators where interchanged between the chapters, so no more confusion) But I can say things really began to get interesting in the second chapter; where the real investigation begins.

Well what can I say, this book is about a man who was murdered—well not really about the man, it’s about finding the man’s murderer, like most mystery novels duhh. I give it a 3/5.

Be patient enough to read through the beginning of a book before you decide it’s interesting. I had to return it back to my friend for her to finish it.

Books

Well that’s it guys. Let me know in the comments if you’re going to read any of these books. I’m sorry if it sounded rushed, most of them I’d read a long time and I tried to recall what it was about (plus I only have like 3 adjectives to describe books). I’m planning on writing a book review during the holidays so I’d have enough time to read and understand the material. Look forward to more book reviews.🤎🤎
